This kit depicts the Later D-variant of the P-51 Mustang. Powered by a British V12 Rolls Royce Merlin which coupled with the Mustangs fantastic design gave the aircraft tremendous range and performance. The D variant is considered by many to be the greatest fighter aircraft of WWII and has even been used today in air racing. This kit captures the famous form of the P-51D, including its distinct rear mounted radiator and laminar-flow wing, and bubble canopy are accurately reproduced. The flaps may also be assembled in lowered position. One pilot figure and three marking options are included.
